Faces of Mine

Nothing! Just feel like sharing some of my Instagram collections;
I-am-so-full-of-myself pictures. Lol :P

Well, just my plain messy self.

When I have absolutely nothing better to do in my room, I camwhore -.-

Uhh.. Girl gone crazy in public? Haha.

Okay so I camwhore in the car too, except when I'm driving. Hee!

Frankly, even I don't know what kinda expression is this? Lol.

Moi with bangs. They're growing incredibly fast!

Yup, I have my hair tied up in a Korean high bun.

Just wondering how this hairstyle would look like on me if I let my bangs down instead of brushing them aside. Hmm I think I should try that next time. What say you? :D

I see U now.

No excuses.
No lies.
No broken promises.

I know you will always find a way to make time for me.

Because I am important to you.

You never give up on me, and that's what keeps me going.

Hope.
Faith.
Patience.

We will meet at the end of the trail.

I'm on my way now :)

Just get up again!

It's okay to fall from time to time, as long as we get up again.

When things start to go on the wrong expected ways, we always have two clear choices.
  1. We can place the blame where it belongs and stuck with our "victim" story, wallowing in self-pity, OR,
  2. We can choose to see the experience as a gift - an opportunity for personal growth and development.
Well, I chose the latter. Sometimes God puts us through a series of challenges that knocked us down because He knows that we have the ability to overcome the hardships and become a stronger, better version of ourselves.

May God bless us each and every day with encouragement to keep hope and faith alive.

Life as we know it.

Nobody should have to feel the way that I felt. Yes, I drove away the guy I loved. To be precise, we gave up on us. For many years I believed I had found the love of my life. So when or how did I stop believing in love? I don't know. When did we begin drifting too far away from each other, both headed off in different directions? I really don't know.

People always say it takes two people to start a relationship and only one to make it end. But this time around, we decided to break up on a mutual agreement. Trust me, even though both parties mutually agreed that breaking up was the best idea, there will always be one whom it hits a little harder than the other.

I was too afraid to face the truth, because it was hurting too much to accept the fact that we are no longer together. I was lost without him, I couldn't imagine life without him or how to move on. I never thought I could feel such pain and heartbreak. But I know very well that as much as it pains me, I have to keep moving forward with my life.

As each day goes by, I'm starting to talk myself into staying positive and looking on the bright side of things. To start off, I have to face my problems head on. It won't be easy, that's for sure. One thing I strongly believe in - we can only learn from a mistake after we admit we have made it. We learn from past experiences to be better prepared for the future. Improving myself is something I'm working on; trying to fix my flaws, change and improve for the better as a person.

Just so you know, if you happen to read this.. We have been through so much together; life's ups and downs, smiles and frowns, happy encounters and bittersweet memories. I know I will never regret the love we shared, the memories we made and the passion we felt.  All the laughter and tears, hugs and kisses will always be kept close to my heart.

Yours truly.

Steamboat Fever

Not really a big fan of steamboat, but I've had steamboat three times in three weeks for this month. Lol. After all, it's the company that matters most, not the where, what and how much.

So about three weeks ago, I had a dinner outing with my colleagues at La Mei Zi Steamboat Restaurant, Nagore Road. And I remember it was raining that evening, definitely the perfect weather to enjoy steamboat.

Soup bases of our choice - tomyam & old duck.

Our food could barely fit on the table cause we ordered so much!

We quickly threw some of the raw ingredients into the hotpot
to make space for other food items on the table.

Dipping the thin slices of meat in the boiling soup.

We apparently weren't done yet - we headed to BlackBall Original Taiwanese Tea & Dessert shop for some desserts and drinks after our very filling dinner! :D

Our happy smiling faces and contented tummies. Hehe.

On the following weekend, my other half and I went to lunch with his dad, bro and sis-in-law at Xuan Xin Steamboat, Gurney Plaza.

Thai tomyam soup & Chinese porridge soup.

Noodles & slices of cold cuts - pork, beef, lamb.

Meat balls, fish balls, mushrooms, prawns, chicken cubes, etc.

Emperor noodles, minced meat, chicken eggs.

A little something extra - kerabu.

Then again, about a week later, I had another steamboat session with my fellow colleagues at Xuan Xin Buffet Steamboat, Tanjung Tokong.

They provide a variety of choices of steamboat ingredients, seafood, meat, mixed vegetables, fruits, desserts and free-flow drinks. They also serve hot dishes such as fried rice, fried noodles, fried chicken, etc.

Since there were 11 of us, we opted for two steamboat pots.

1st hotpot: Thai tomyam soup & Chinese porridge soup.

2nd hotpot: Chinese porridge soup and crystal clear soup.

Almost forgot to mention, they have a Teppanyaki Corner which they offer to grill or stir-fry for you instantly.

Hmm not so extraordinary, but not too bad :)

A bunch of nice people who are fun to be with.

It was actually a small farewell dinner for two of my colleagues. Sad to see them leave as we are all growing closer together..

Anyhow, wishing them all the best for a new career and a new future! Hope to be in contact no matter how busy we are! xoxo

Love is a Rose that Never Dies..

A handmade preserved rose in clear acrylic case,
from that special someone who means the world to me.

P.S. Let's create memories that will last a lifetime together.

I love you.

His Belated Birthday Celeb.

This year, we didn't get to celebrate his birthday together on the actual day (btw his birthday falls on February 16th). So we did it on last Saturday at Miraku Japanese Restaurant, G Hotel.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves :D

Salmon sashimi - a must have!

We ordered the sushi soba gozen to share.

Assorted sushi

Wanko soba

Tempura

Chawan-mushi

Of course, the above-mentioned food items weren't enough for us. Well, we were not greedy.. Just 2 additional dishes.. Hehehehe.

Spider roll - deep fried soft shell crab
& cucumber with mayonnaise

Tori teriyaki - grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce

Hmm I didn't quite like this dish as the sauce came out to be a bit too salty for me. And we ordered it only because I wanted to have some chicken. But it didn't go to waste - credits to the big eater. Lol :P

Anyway, here's my gift to him..

It's not just a box!

Yes, a new watch for him :)
